The Communication Program of UST Angelicum took home eight wins at the recent 6th Philippine Student Quill Awards.
Seven merit awards were given to Liham by Charmaine Joyce Ballesteros, Unmuted Stories by Sarrah Ditan, Dalahin by Ma. Micholai Baluya, which was also declared as Best Student Short Film at the 40th Catholic Mass Media Awards, Never Happy Ending Story by Arlindane Villanueva, which also received Gold Anvil Awards in 2018, Mulat by John Gabriel Cuebillas, and Check-In by Sandra Nicole Fajardo.
Meanwhile, one award of excellence was bagged by alumna Charlotte Vinluan's Engkwentro, which was hailed as the Philippine Student Quill Top Award for Communication Skills.
Of the 254 entries submitted to this year's Student Quill Awards, only 74 passed rigorous standards.

In the pursuit of continuous school development to deal with the changes and challenges of 21st century education, the administrators of UST Angelicum College visited the Dominican International School (DIS) in Dazhi, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, Taiwan on July 4, 2019.
The delegates to the General Chapter of the Order of Preachers from different countries held their world conference in July in Bien Hoa in Vietnam, where the Dominican family has an important presence. After the Mass of the Holy Spirit on July 13, 2019, the plenary session elected the 87th successor of St. Dominic, and the 88th Master of the Order in the person of Rev. Fr. Gerard Francisco P. Timoner, O. P.
UST Angelicum welcomed the new academic year 2019-2020 with the Mass of the Holy Spirit which was held on August 7, 2019. The Mass, which coincided with the celebration of the Feast of St. Dominic de Guzman, founder of the Order of Preachers, was presided by the Pro-Vice-Rector of the school, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand L. Bautista, O. P. and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Noel Castor, O. P., the school’s Director for Financial Affairs, Rev. Fr. Rudolf Seño, O.P. and the new Chaplain of the Basic Education Department, Rev. Fr. Arden Dacuma, O. P. Rev. Reynor Munsayac also joined during the celebration.
Despite the rainy weather last weekend, the BEC Youth Volunteers were all excited to attend the Team Building and Planning Session organized by the Office of the Religious Affairs last September 14, 2019 with the theme, ‘ Using One’s Gifts in Serving Others’ (1 Peter 4:10).
Phoenix Aralinks gave recognition to UST Angelicum College during the Alaga 2019 Aralinks Leadership Academy.
