Now on its 24th year, the Re-entry Education Agenda for the Poor (REAP) Program of UST Angelicum College held Gabay Karunungan and Missio Awards to celebrate its achievements over the years and to honor the dedication of the REAP site facilitators.
Counterparts from other Dominican schools and the supervising facilitators of the REAP sites, who came all the way from different parts of the country, gathered online and onsite .
This year's guest speaker was Dr. Leila Areola, Director IV of Bureau of Learning Delivery at the Department of Education. She reintroduced the department's programs on alternative education and inspired the participants to do their part in ensuring that no student is left behind.
The event was also graced by the presence of REAP and Angelicum College's founder, Rev. Fr. Rogelio Alarcon, O.P., who emphasized that more than enhancing literacy and critical thinking among the students, REAP should be an avenue for evangelization and strengthening of faith.
